WAVE Group's Ponty Chadha Foundation leads from the front in CSR

The group's CSR and philanthropic arm, The Ponty Chadha Foundation, aims to give back to the communities that are directly or indirectly connected to the group by taking social initiatives and implementing welfare schemes.

Mrs Jatinder Kaur Chadha, the wife of erstwhile visionary chairman of the WAVE Group Mr Gurdeep Singh Chadha (popularly known as Mr Ponty Chadha), has established the foundation to bring alive the dreams of her husband.

The foundation, a part of the Group founded in 1963, is organising CSR programs, which include skills training for underprivileged rural and urban youth, primary health care, special education for differently abled children and their rehabilitation and hunger eradication.

Kulwant Singh Chadha Skill Academy

The Group is establishing the WAVE Skills Academy in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh to boost the potential of youth coming from less advantaged families by imparting training, honing them with specialized skills and helping them to get employment.  

In-campus Facilities and Modules

As a part of its CSR initiative, the Group is developing WAVE Skills Academy on 6 acre land in Dasna, Ghaziabad with a capacity to train 120 to 150 trainees per training programme.

The campus will include residential accommodation, mess, kitchen, training and lecture rooms, labs and simulation rooms, administrative block, and open areas.

The academy will impart training in security services, facilities management, hospitality and real estate among others. More training modules are on anvil on the basis of requirements from different sectors.

Health Camps

The Ponty Chadha Foundation regularly organises free diagnostic health camps for village communities, with a focus on healthy community.

The Foundation along with Dr Ram Saran Garg from Indo German Hospital has held over 40 health camps and has reached out to more than 5,200 people in the village areas of Sun City and Wave City in Noida and Ghaziabad.

Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan

The WAVE Group has established Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan for the training and rehabilitation of the differently abled children.

The Noida-based institution which operates under the banner of Ponty Chadha Foundation is the largest of its kind in Asia with more than 800 children enrolled in the school.

Its special school is dedicated to making such children self-confident and to provide them a place in the society where they are not only accepted but also respected for their special abilities.

Food Bank Initiation

The Ponty Chadha Foundation has joined hands with the India Food Banking Network (IFBN) to provide food to those below the poverty line.

The Foundation is engaged in voluntary distribution of essential food grains such as rice and wheat and high-energy biscuits and cookies to the underprivileged communities in Noida and Ghaziabad. The WAVE Group has held food collection drives in its offices and partnered with the Genesis School, Noida  to launch the Food Drive against Hunger.

The WAVE Group, country's leading business conglomerate, has expanded to all business domains such as sugar, distilleries, paper manufacturing, real estate, malls and multiplexes, spirits, liquor retail and distribution, sports and entertainment.
