Akshay Kumar 's 'Ikka' to be directed by a debutant

It's known that Akshay Kumar will be teaming up with AR Murugadoss for a film titled 'Ikka.' While it was believed the movie will be directed by the latter, we have learnt that it will be helmed by Jagan, an associate of Murugadoss.

A source close the director says, "Akshay and Murugadoss last worked in 'Holiday', which was a remake of 'Murugadoss' Thuppaki. The two are collaborating once again for Ikka, remake of the latter's Tamil film 'Kaththi.' However, His associate Jagan will be debuting as a director with this film, which is slated to go on floors in April next year."
Akshay is busy with 'Airlift' and also has 'Rustom' and 'Housefull 3' to complete. Murugadoss is working on a Telugu-Tamil bilingual now, apart from his 'Akira.' Hence, he is sticking to producing Akshay's next.
