Margaret Laurence, one of the most illustrious novelists of Canada, is famous for her investigation into the depths psychological and sociological aspects of society. The author said her book confined to five of Laurence’s major novels: This Side Jordan , The Stone Angel , A Jest of God , The Fire-Dwellers , and The Diviners .
All the novels explore the themes of quest for identity and survival.
