15 minor boys caught from hookah centre in Falaknuma

Police let off the students after counselling them in the presence of their parents.

Hyderabad: Fifteen minor students from various city colleges were caught by the police on Thursday from the Diamond Divine Snooker Hookah centre in Falaknuma which was inaugurated on Thursday. Some of the students aged 15 and 16, studying at Narayana College, had returned after the college declared a holiday due to the suicide of one of the students at Medak. Police let off the students after counselling them in the presence of their parents.

Police said that one Syed Mohammed opened the Diamond Divine Hookah centre. Another hookah centre was functioning here earlier. Before the launch the new joint informed old customers.

"Violating HC orders the owners allowed minors to smoke hookah,” said additional DCP K. Babu Rao. “Ten students were from the Narayana College,” the DCP said.
