Housewife hangs self

Hyderabad: A young housewife ended her life due to alleged domestic harassment at Meerpet on Wednesday.
The victim, Rukmini, 22, was the wife of an electronics store worker, Santosh, from Nandi Hills in Meerpet. Rukmini had married Santosh one-and-half-years ago and they have an eight-month-old baby girl.
On Wednesday morning, Rukmini locked herself up in the bedroom and committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan with a stole.There was no suicide note and based on the complaint lodged by the family members of the victim, Meerpet police have registered a case against Santosh and his parents. under sections 498-A (subjecting a married women to cruelty) and 306(abetment to commit suicide) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Santosh and his parents were taken into custody.
