The floods in Chennai saw several South and Bollywood stars and filmmakers doing their bit for the city and its people. Now, Bunty Walia, who manages the All Star Football Club, is planning a match between the ASFC and some members of the Indian cricket team on January 24 at Raipur. Word is that the proceeds of the match will go for the rehabilitation and rebuilding of Chennai.

A source adds, “There has been talk of a charity match held between ASFC and the Indian cricket team to raise funds for the flood-affected victims of Chennai, but it’s a challenging job coordinating the dates of so many stars with their shooting schedules with those of the cricket team, who also have various commmitments. The ASFC captain Abhishek Bachchan and Bunty are keen to have the charity match, but some of their star footballers including Ranbir Kapoor are busy shooting. AB is trying his best and the match may happen in Raipur. Other actors like Arjun Kapoor, Armaan Jain, Varun Dhawan, Dino Morea, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Karan Wahi, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sachiin Joshi, businessman Raj Kundra, and sporting icons like Leander Paes and Ritwik Bhattacharya amongst others are expected to be part of it, too. But everything is still under wraps as the dates of the players are being worked out.”
