New branch

The Corporation Bank will be inaugurating its new branch in Mulleria in Kasaragod district in Kerala on Wednesday. This will be the 2395{+t}{+h}branch of the Bank. The new branch will be located at Ganesh Complex, off the Cherkala-Jalsoor State Highway. Chairman and Managing Director of Bank S.R. Bansal will be inaugurating the new branch, according to a press release.

Power shutdown

There will be no power supply on Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. in Thokkottu, Kallapur, Ullal, Kapikad, Ambikaroad, Kolya, Kumpala, Kotekar, Adka, Talapady, Kinya, Uchhila, Kuttar, Manjanady, Deralakatte, Konaje, Belma, Asaiguli, and surrounding areas, according to an official press release.

Lagori competition

The district administration and Dr. Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisargadhama will be conducting Lagori competition as a part of Pilikula Habba to be held on December 24. The Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy will be presenting cash awards to the winning team. Teams willing to take part in the competition have to register their names with Doddanna Baremelu by calling him on 9449662384.

Kalashri award

A camp will be held at the Balabhavan in Kadri on December 31 to select talented dancers and musicians who will be representing Dakshina Kannada in the State-level camp for awarding Kalashri awards. Children aged between 9 and 16 years can attend the camp. Applications should be submitted by December 28. For details, call 2432809, according to a press release.

693{+r}{+d}bank branch

The 693{+r}{+d}branch of Karnataka Bank was inaugurated in Halagur near Bengaluru on Monday. The former Superintendent of Gandhi Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bengaluru, D. Manche Gowda, inaugurated the new branch. General Manager Sarvashri Raghurama and AGM of the Bank Ramachandra B.S. also participated in the function, according to a press release.
