‘Persons responsible for RIMS nurses test question leakage will be revealed to the public soon’

IMPHAL, December 15: The Manipuri Students’ Federation (MSF) assuring to bring those responsible for leakage of questions paper for the written test of the recruitment of RIMS staff nurse within a week time, has urged the RIMS authority to immediately halt its Viva Voce proceedings.

Speaking to reporters in press meet at its Keisampat office, the MSF president, Kh Serajuddin said that they (MSF) have taken serious note of the incident.

It was unfortunate that despite the leakage of question papers the RIMS continued with its Viva Voce proceeding, he said urging the authroties to stop the process and re-conduct the written test in a fair manner.

The MSF president disclosed that they have a lead behind the incident and soon all the culprits will be flashed before the public.

Appealing to the public to extend their co-operation in their initiative, he maintained that MSF would go to any length to rectify the mess within the education system of the State.

Meanwhile, the Apunba Irepakki Maheiroi Singpanglup (AIMS) has threatened to ban all the activities of RIMS except patient treatment related activities if the premier institute fails to re-conduct the written test in a fair manner.

In a statement AIMS has alleged that all the proceeding related to the recruitment of 116 staff nurses, conducted by the RIMS exuded a vested interest agenda.

Despite the fact that a ruling by the High Court has directed the RIMS to regularised 22 contract basis nurses the latter act of overlooking the ruling tantamount to not only disregarding the rights of the deserving nurse but also the law, it said.

Questioning the reason behind the inclusion of one of the 22 nurses in the recently held written test exam, it alleged that the lone nurse who appeared the test is a relative of Dr Joy, Dean, Academics.

The non-inclusion of the Chief Nursing Superintendent Th Chinglembi in the list of selection committee is another indication of the irregularities in the recruitment process, it posed.
