: Contrary to expectations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not speak a word about the much-awaited Sabarimala development project and the Guruvayur Pilgrim Tourism Project.

BJP State president V. Muraleedharan in his welcome address even made a request to the Prime Minister for a special package for Sabarimala.

The Pilgrim Tourism Project at Guruvayur, where lakhs of devotees visit every year, was another much-awaited project. The Union government had even directed the Guruvayur Municipality recently to constitute a core committee for the ‘Prasadam’ project, which is a central project for town development. However, there was no announcement about this project too.
