Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) along with the Edmonton Police Service and the RCMP are investigating a suspected drug lab near Beaumont.

Investigators say that three search warrants were carried out in Edmonton, Leduc County, and Red Deer County on December 9.

The Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response team – or CLEAR, is now involved to investigate a wide variety of chemicals and equipment found at a rural property southeast of Beaumont in the Green Acres subdivision.

“I think meth,” said neighbor Gavin Armstrong. “I think the way they’ve had it lit up the last few nights they are secure. They’ve had the property secured for two days.”

Seven people have been arrested so far, but the investigation is ongoing.
