The Hindu holds contests for children

More than 500 students from various schools and colleges showcased their talents in a variety of events such as business quiz, short filmmaking, business plan, ad mela, startup fest, mock stock exchange, dance and singing at AcuBiz – inter-college business fest organised by the Roots Group of Institutions in association with The Hindu .

The short film competition was on the given themes – ‘Gender Equalisation and Go Green Hyderabad’.

The winners in junior category were A. Varun, Yaikhomba.Ch, Mahesh.Ch from Shantiniketan School.

In senior category the first prize was won by Kaneez Fatima, Rahul Naik, Aishwarya, Sravya Reddy and Anjali.

Startup Fest was one of the most interesting events where 25 teams participated in junior and senior category. Students came up with innovative products from best out of waste.

First prize in junior category was bagged by Aksharf, Yeshsswini, Vidhushi, Junita and Sakshi from Glendale Academy while in senior category team of Deepika, Unnati and Prachi won.

Vivekanada Suri, Director, Operations, Oracle Hyderabad (Retd) was the chief guest.
