Patna: From Bhojpuri to Brazilian and Salsa, Bhangra to Dandiya – dance performances from across the world were the highlights of the silver jubilee celebrations of International School at the S K Memorial Hall here on Saturday.
The students did a superb job as they presented a bouquet of 30-odd cultural events which included cartoon- themed performance, ‘zoom-on-crazy-wheels’ skating performance, freestyle dance, Rajasthani dance, gypsy dance, Bengali dance, Haryanvi dance, fusion dance and contemporary dance.

The other highlights of the evening were thematic play ‘Fading Humanity’, Hindi comedy ‘Masti Ki Paathshala’, English play ‘Julius Ceaser’ and a peacock-theme dance. While former school prefect Ritambhara Pragya delivered the welcome speech, prefect Aumkar Pranav Shukla presented the annual report of the school. School director Farhat Hasan welcomed the guests and parents.
Awards were also distributed to students who excelled in academic or sports fields. The students in the hall of fame were Zain Zafar, Ritesh Mohan and Anu Ray while sports achievement awards were given to Shrestha Sidhartha and Prakash.
The chief guest on the occasion was Patna high court’s Justice Samarendra Pratap Singh. He in his speech was all praise for the students for putting up an impressive show. Guests of honour were state finance minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui, transport minister Chandrika Rai and minority welfare minister Abdul Gafoor.
