Holywood golfer Rory McIlroy engaged to Erica Stoll

Holywood golfer Rory McIlroy has become engaged to his American girlfriend Erica Stoll according to a number of reports.

The couple have been together for more than a year. They were recently spotted at Windsor park supporting the Northern Ireland football team.

It is thought the proposal took place at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

McIlroy broke off an engagement with tennis player Caroline Wozniacki in 2014.
