Kota Kinabalu: Pictures of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak posing with a family member of (so-called Sulu Sultan) Kiram making the rounds on the internet could have been superimposed to stir controversy."In this day and age photos can be manipulated," said Pakatan NGO Pro BN president Zulkarnain Mahdar.He was responding to the defence raised by Sabah opposition leader Datuk Lajim Hj Ukin and Penampang Member of Parliament Darrel Leiking over their recent comments on the Nurul Izzah-Jacel Kiram episode when the State Assembly decided to bar Nurul from entering Sabah.

On Nov. 24, the Sabah legislative assembly voted in favour of a motion to ban Nurul Izzah and Tian Chua from entering the State and on Thursday parliament voted to refer the Lembah Pantai Member of Parliament to its Rights and Privileges Committee. Zulkarnain said the Nurul Izzah-Jacel Kiram meeting in the Philippines could have been avoided if the PKR lawmaker was sensitive to the role played by her acquaintance in assisting in the Sulu incursion. Not only did the incursion rouse the sensitivity of many Sabahans, it also caused the death of several security personnel, he stressed in defence of the group's earlier statement against the controversial meeting. Pakatan NGO Pro BN is a group aligned to the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition.

Zulkarnain said he believed Nurul who was said to have gone to the Philippines with PKR Vice President Tian Chua as part of a PKR delegation to meet with "various stakeholders" knew who Jacel was and the role she played in the incursion and claim over Sabah when they met at a forum on Nov 9 there.
