The MVP of NBA Mom Twitter Is Draymond Green's Mama

Here's a fun fact/cold take: moms rule.

They are always there to pick you up and tell you how great a job you did, even when the job you did was actually really, really shitty and not at all worthy of that McDonald's Ice Cream Sundae she just bought you. Well, NBA player and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green's mom also rules, but largely for the opposite reason. Not because Mary Barbers-Green isn't there to pick Draymond up—she's always had his back in the face of haters—but because she's also not at all afraid to keep it real (here she is, talking trash to the Houston Rockets). Draymond isn't either, and when you look at his mother's Twitter feed (yes, AND her Twitteracy is at a Millennial level!), it's clear he got it from his momma.

Last night as the Warriors faced off with the Utah Jazz, seeking to extend their NBA-record undefeated start to an absolutely ludicrous 19 games, Ms. Barbers-Green was live-tweeting its final, nail-biting moments, as the Warriors eked out a measly 3-pt victory (to give you an insight into why she was so worried, the Warriors won their five previous games by 12, 13, 34, 19, and 19 points, respectively).

But the best part? She isn't afraid to get on her son's teammates.

(Oh, so you think being an NBA MVP and certified basketball extraterrestrial is going to keep you safe from Draymond's mom? Nope.)

Not even her own son is safe from being accused of some poor play, as Barbers-Green flawlessly executes a criticism sandwich here (encouragement, followed by criticism, followed by more encouragement).

But Draymond's mom is ride-or-die Warriors, and that means with tough love comes deep love. Which is good news for Golden State, and bad news for the haters.

(P.S. The poor Knicks though. What did they do?)
