Coke Studio singer and song writer Abbas Ali Khan mesmerized audience in Singapore with his melodious voice and everlasting songs at the famous Fort Canning Park from 20 to 25 November - a venue where many international artists have previously performed. The audience represented crème’ de la crème’ of Pakistani and Indian origins including the likes of business men, bankers, IT professionals as well as young music enthusiasts. His Excellency the High Commissioner of Pakistan, and Country Head Pakistan, Habib Bank Ltd also attended the event. The songs featured a mix of Abbas’ own songs and renditions of other songs by Music legends such as Mehdi Hasan, Jagjit Singh, Farida Khanam and AbidaParveen Etc. He performed with extremely talented musicians from Singapore who rendered the songs to perfection. Abbas Ali Khan’s latest track “MujhayBaarBaar“ that has been featured on Coke Studio 7 (Pakistan) and his own rendition of “Dhamal” were the highlights of the show. Tickets got sold within a month of the announcement of this event making it a successful full-house show. On special request from people who were unable attend the show, the organizers arranged another exclusive private gathering on 23rd November 2015.
This Mehfil despite being on a weekday was again a house full. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the music and close interaction with Abbas.
Both these events were organized by “Momentz by Azzah&Afsheen” and Kit Kat Productions, which is at the forefront to promote Indian and Pakistani music talents in Singapore. “Momentz” has previously organized shows for Mika Singh and Ali Zafar. Because of this overwhelming response from the Singaporean audience, Momentz is planning another mega show with Abbas Ali Khan early 2016.
