BJP takes out march against K Babu

Scores of BJP supporters marched to the Assembly, which the police blocked at the Museum gates

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president V. Muraleedharan on Monday said the developments in the coming days would reveal whether excise minister K. Babu would step down on his own or whether the people would boot him out from power.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Assembly march of BJP demanding the ouster of Mr Babu facing allegations of taking Rs 10 crore as bribe in the bar scam.

Scores of BJP supporters marched to the Assembly, which the police blocked at the Museum gates.

Mr Muraleedharan demanded Mr Babu’s resignation claiming that there was incriminating evidence against him.

CPM also took out a protest march with the same demand, blocking roads during the morning rush hours on the first day of the 15th session of the 13th Assembly.
