CPI cries foul

December 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 24, 2016 01:12 pm IST - KHAMMAM:

CPI district secretary B. Hemantha Rao has demanded registration of a case against TRS leaders for allegedly exerting pressure on Konijerla woman MPTC member Nagalakshmi’s husband, Satyanarayana, to join the ruling party along with his wife

In a statement, Mr. Hemantha Rao alleged that an audio tape containing ‘threats’ from a ruling party MLA to Satyanarayana exposed the ‘'unethical and intimidating’ tactics being resorted to by the leaders to win the MLC election

This is blatant violation of the code of conduct, he charged, alleging that Satyanarayana was subjected to ‘persecution’ for not bowing down to ‘pressure tactics’.
