Students from 28 high schools will stage shows for a fortnight at Rajangana in Udupi.

Students from 28 high schools will stage shows for a fortnight at Rajangana in Udupi.

The annual Yakshagana performance of students of 28 high schools in the Udupi Assembly Constituency called Kishore Yaksha Sambhrama will be inaugurated at Rajangana here on Tuesday. In a press release issued here, Murali Kadekar, secretary of Yakshagana Kalaranga, said that the students would give their Yakshagana performances from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily from December 1 to 15.

Inauguration programme

Vidyavallabha Tirtha Swami of Paryaya Kaniyur Mutt will inaugurate the programme on Tuesday.

Pramod Madhwaraj, MLA, will preside over the inaugural function. The Kishore Yaksha Sambhrama is being jointly organised by the Department of Kannada and Culture, Yakshagana Kalaranga and the Sri Krishna Mutt here, the release added.
