Former singles champion at the Chennai Open, Janko Tipsarevic is all set to participate in the 2016 edition of the competition.
The serb’s inclusion means that 10 players from the world’s top 50 will compete in the upcoming edition.
Laid off by an injury, the serb returned to competitive fold in March this year.
Tipsarevic won the Chennai Open singles title in 2013 defeating Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut in three sets to capture the fourth ATP World Tour title of his career. The year 2012 saw him lose to 21-year-old Canadian Milos Raonic in an epic final that lasted around three hours.
However, he pocketed the doubles crown partnering Indian ace Leander Paes.
This impressive player field, lead by two-time grand slam champion Stan Wawrinka and world No. 12 Kevin Anderson also features Benoit Paire, Roberto Bautista-Agut, Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, Gilles Muller and Vasek Pospisil among others.
