The Indian football team’s camp for the coming SAFF Cup will be held here from December 10.
“The Indian team’s camp will be held at the Nehru Stadium here and it will be for 10 days,” said P. Anilkumar, the general secretary of the Kerala Football Association, here on Monday.
The SAFF Cup will be held in Thiruvananthapuram soon after the Indian Super League, from December 23 to January 3. The ISL concludes on December 20.
And, despite Pakistan’s withdrawal from the SAFF Cup, Anilkumar said, the groupings would not be changed. Thus Group A, which included Pakistan, will now be a three-team affair with India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Group B will comprise defending champion Afghanistan, Bhutan, Maldives and Bangladesh.
