Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan has alleged that the State government extended financial aid to Noushad who died in Kozhikode the other day while attempting to rescue two workers trapped in a manhole because he was a Muslim.

Mr. Natesan was speaking at a public meeting organised in Kochi on Sunday when his Samathwa Munnetta Yatra reached the city.

In a sarcastic tone, Mr. Natesan said he wished to die the death of a Muslim in Kerala. Though members of a school handball team died the other day, no one cared for them as they were all Hindus, he alleged.

The mainstream media, which were conspiring against Hindus, should desist from their anti-Hindu attitude.

They should end discrimination towards Hindus.

Writers with Hindu names and intellectuals were engaged in anti-Hindu campaign, he said. Social justice could be achieved only when the backward and forward caste Hindus achieve political power. The unity of majority communities was necessary for them to live in this land and to survive, he said.

Mr. Natesan felt that the majority communities did not benefit from the LDF and UDF governments. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and CPI(M) leader Pinarayi Vijayan were attempting to defame the campaign, he said.

Against both fronts

While minorities benefitted from the politics of convenience practised by both the fronts, they denied the majority community members their due.

This attitude pushed the majority community members to poverty. The majority community members should be able to decide who should rule the State.

With their votes, the community members should be able to decide on the rulers of the State, he said.

Mr. Natesan said the march was being undertaken for ensuring social justice.

The Congress and Communist party leaders who had been showering abuses on the rally should come to the venue of the meetings to feel the reality, he said.

Yogam vice president Thushar Vellapally, KPMS general secretary T.V. Babu, and Yogakshema Sabha president Akkeeraman Kalidasa Bhattathirippad were among those who attended the reception.
