Prakash Chowdary, a Kolkata-based philanthropist, has donated two ambulances worth Rs.30 lakh to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), in memory of N. Ramesh, (Potu Ramesh, known for making Laddus for two and a half decades), who passed away recently due to heart attack.
Speaking after handing over the ambulances to TTD Joint Executive Officer K.S. Sreenivasa Raju on Sunday, Mr. Chowdary recalled the impeccable services rendered by Ramesh to the Tirumala temple. The vehicles are meant to serve pilgrims during emergency situations. The keys were handed over to TTD Transport General Manager P.V. Sesha Reddy, while Deputy Executive Officer (Srivari temple) C. Ramana and family members of Potu Ramesh were present.
