Investor awareness programme

The Salem Branch of the Southern India Regional Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) recently conducted an investor awareness programme in the city on Wednesday. A.Sowkath Ali, Chairman, Salem branch of the SIRC of the ICAI, inaugurated the event. P. Balasubramanian, Area Manager, Banking Reliance Capital Asset Management Limited, was the chief guest.

The resource persons of the programme P. Naresh Kumar, Assistant Manager, National Stock Exchange, Chennai, gave a presentation on “guide to small investors on capital operations” and R. Raghunathan, Member of Investor Grievance Resolution Panel, National Stock Exchange, Chennai, gave a presentation on “What an investor should generally be aware of”. A.V. Arun, vice-chairman of the Salem branch of the SIRC of ICAI, R. Raveendran, secretary, V. Madhukar, Chairman, Southern India Chartered Accountant Students Association, and others participated in the meeting.
