Land to be acquired for road work

Land will be acquired at a cost of Rs.8 crore for widening the Ayurveda College-Old GPO Road to get rid of traffic blocks.

The acquisition cost will be paid from January 1, Minister for Health V.S. Sivakumar said. He was speaking after reviewing the construction of roads and bridges in the Thiruvananthapuram Assembly constituency on Saturday. The Minister ordered that a project report on renovation of the 4.5-km Shanghumughom-Kochuveli road from 10 m to 21 m should be submitted before November 30.
