Tony Awards ceremony finds a venue -- the Beacon Theatre

NEW YORK, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- The 70th annual Tony Awards ceremony is to be broadcast live from The Beacon Theatre in New York City on June 12, CBS announced.

The 69th edition of the gala, which honors excellence on Broadway, took place at Radio City Music Hall. Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming shared hosting duties, while Fun Home was named Best Musical and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time was deemed Best Play.

Nominations for the 2016 Tony Awards will be revealed at The Paramount Hotel on May 3.

No host for the prize presentation has been announced yet.
