Islamabad: A local court today handed over four CDA officials into Federal Investigative Agency custody on a four-day physical remand in the katchi abadi case.
The FIA produced the four accused the court to seek their 10-day physical remand, however, the judge allowed a four-day remand. The accused included Amir Jan, Nadeem, Shahid Kazmi and Usman Lashari had allegedly taken million of rupees bribe from people to allow them construction in slums of H-9 and I-10.
The FIA counsel told the court that the accused should be handed over to the interrogating agency on a 10-day physical remand for further investigation, however, the court rejected the plea and handed over the accused to FIA custody on a four-day remand.
The FIA arrested the four accused on Friday on the basis of disclosures made by other 15 detainees, who are already in detention in the same case.
