Newly developed green belt in sector 50

Adviser to the Chandigarh administrator Vijay Dev on Thursday handed over the newly developed Green Belt at sector 50. It was the 69th green belt of the city.

CHANDIGARH: Adviser to the Chandigarh administrator Vijay Dev on Thursday handed over the newly developed Green Belt at sector 50. It was the 69th green belt of the city.
The adviser said that this beautiful Green Belt will be beneficial for all people including young, old and children. He said that it is equal responsibility of public regarding upkeep of the park.

Dev assured the local residents of early solution of their problems related to the Municipal Corporation and the Chandigarh Administration. He also starts the High Mast light in the green belt.
While addressing the gathering city Mayor Poonam Sharma said that Municipal Corporation has been developing beautiful parks and green belts in the city regularly. She informed that the newly developed Green Park having total area 11 acres, developed with beautiful landscaping, 1.3 Kilometer footpath, railing in toe wall, park lights, huts, benches and children play equipments etc at a cost of rupees 1.5 Crore.
Area municipal councilor Harphool Chander Kalyan and senior MC, UT officials and office bearers of Resident Welfare Associations and Senior Citizen Association of the area and prominent citizens of Chandigarh were present on the occasion.
