Development in UP leaves Ratan Tata 'impressed'
BETHAR (Unnao): Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, Ratan Tata, who was here on Friday for laying foundation stone of a sports academy praised the development taking place in Uttar Pradesh. He said it left him “impressed."
“I can only say that I am very much impressed. The state is fantastic," said Tata.
The foundation stone was laid in Bethar village of Unnao district along with UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.

Addressing the gathering, Akhilesh Yadav invited Ratan Tata to invest in the state. “This would further empower local people with jobs and other gains," he said.
The academy was established by Arunima Sinha, who created a world record by being the first amputee to scale the Mount Everest.
Akhilesh Yadav also thanked Arunima for inviting Tata to UP. “Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) and I were making efforts to invite Ratan Tata to UP. The credit now goes to the country's first amputee to climb Mount Everest Arunima. We are thankful to her," he said. In February 2011, Aruni ma was pushed out of a train by some goons while she was travelling to Delhi to appear in recruitment exam of Central Industrial Securi ty Force, which led to amputation of her leg.
After achieving the feat, she dreamt of setting up a multi-facility sports academy for physically challenged athletes and had requested the state government to help realise her dream project.
Arunima, while addressing the gathering said, “I am elated by the support extended by chief minister Akhilesh Yadav. I am also glad to have Ratan Tata here amongst us."
