ACS home visits ATS office, discusses ISIS threat

AHMEDABAD: The additional chief secretary (ACS), Home, PK Taneja visited the Anti-Terrorist Squad office located on SG Road on Friday and discussed ISIS threat.
ATS sources said Tarneja talked to ATS officials and also took stock of the situation. "He also inspected the barracks and other facilities at the ATS office. We discussed ISIS threat looming large on the country, especially after Paris terror attacks," said an ATS official.
"This is the first time that ACS Home had visited ATS office. Earlier Taneja had visited the crime branch office at Gaekwad Haveli campus," said a police source. Police officials said Taneja was appraised with the scarcity of staff at ATS. "We have about 24 officials and personnels. We need more to work to our full capacity," said an ATS official.
