Kathmandu, November 27

Federal Alliance, Baburam Bhattarai-led Campaign for Creating New Force and Padma Ratna Tuladhar-led Indigenous Nationalities National Movement today decided to hold a broader civic solidarity meeting in Kathmandu on December 3.

The three forces also decided to stage a sit-in at Maitighar Mandala on December 7 and a rally in Kathmandu on December 11.

These forces will hold a mass meeting in Kathmandu on December 13. These forces decided to launch their protest to show solidarity with ongoing Madhes agitation and mount pressure on the major parties to seek a negotiated settlement.

United Democratic Madhesi Front has been agitating in Madhes for more than three months against the new constitution which it says discriminates against Madhesis.
