In a candid chat with Ipsita Basu, Vineeth Vincent beat boxer, musician and champion for artists, shared about what makes Bengaluru a favourite city.

    1 What makes Bengaluru tick?

First, I can't relate to the word Bengaluru. I was born in a Bangalore and the name remains in my head. The name changes my perspective of how Bangalore has changed from then to now. I'm still in love with the old Bangalore. The new one isn't exactly my cup of tea. In terms of what makes the city tick, I think the community is what makes Bangalore tick. The kind of people you bump into on the street. So many networking possibilities, so many beautiful stories and I also enjoy the languid pace.

2 What is your favourite Bengaluru moment?

Sometime ago, my car rubbed against another man's car in ndiranagar. We put our cars on the ide, stepped out, looked at the damage to our vehicles, apologised o each other, shook hands and continued driving. These moments and more, make me love this city uther.

3 If you were the dictator of Bengaluru, what is the first thing you will do?

Reduce the population, pollution and cost of living.

4 Who is your favourite Bengalurean? Why?

I have so many names that come to mind. I can't pick just one. All the people who stand up for what is ight. The people who do not look or the easy and convenient way of doing things just because doing the right thing is generally more difficult. The Bangaloreans who stop our trees from getting cut.Bangaloreans who keep each other safe and treat a life with respect. Each and every Bangalorean who makes this city worth living in, a big thank you to all of you.

5 If not Bengaluru, which city? Why?

I'd prefer to stay and try to make things better. If I ever had to leave, then it would be somewhere near some hills maybe or close to a beach. I don't know where exactly but all I know is that it has to be far away from the city.
