Eddie Lacy up, Davante Adams down in Packers' loss

GREEN BAY, Wis. – A look at the Green Bay Packers players who were “up” and those who were “down” in Thursday’s 17-13 loss to the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field:

UP

Eddie Lacy: At least the Packers have their workhorse runner back on track (as long as he can hang on to the football). Lacy posted his second straight 100-yard rushing game after going without one in the first half of the season. He carried 17 times for 105 yards (a 6.2-yard average) and might have gotten even more had he not been briefly benched after his second-quarter fumble. He also scored on a 25-yard catch and run.

Jeff Janis: Another game, another long kickoff return. After a 70-yard return on Sunday against the Vikings, Janis returned one 64 yards in the second quarter to set up a field goal.

Quinten Rollins: The rookie cornerback dropped an interception that he should’ve had, but he did come up with an 11-yard sack that ended the Bears’ first possession of the third quarter. If Damarious Randall’s knee injury is anything serious, the Packers are going to need more from Rollins.

DOWN

Davante Adams: Coach Mike McCarthy called him the MVP of the offseason. The second-year receiver might be the biggest disappointment of the regular season. He dropped at least two passes and was partially to blame for Aaron Rodgers’ interception. Adams was targeted 11 times yet caught only two passes for 14 yards.

James Jones: For the second time in three games, the veteran receiver was shut out. He was targeted six times but didn’t catch a single pass. Before Sunday’s six-catch, 109-yard, one-touchdown game at Minnesota, Jones didn’t have a catch against the Lions.

JC Tretter: His low shotgun snap in the third quarter led to Rodgers getting hit on the elbow by Lamarr Houston, which caused the quarterback's left hand to go numb for the rest of the game.
