‘If you aspire to build a strong career, you need to give your best’

For youngsters, it was imperative to improve their learning abilities as the present day workplace demands it, remarked Sujeet Kumar Jha, Vice-president (Training and Development), Career Spin Consulting (India) Pvt. Ltd. He was speaking at a lecture on career and carrier organised by The Hindu in School (THiS) and sponsored by Giraffe Learning at Army Public School on K. Kamaraj Road, here recently.

He told students that the way youngsters aspire to work for a good company, organisations too look to hire best people. Hence, it was important for them to improve their learning abilities as workplace dynamics keeps changing from time to time.

He told students that people who make mistakes, learn faster.

“It is important to understand your strengths and you need to cross check it with your parents and teachers. If you aspire to build a strong career, you need to give your best. Look for role models among people around you,” Mr. Jha told students.

He also told students that challenges keep getting bigger as they grow. Hence, they should willing to give their best. “If you give your best, you will get the best,” he said. Students needed to come out of their comfort zone to be able to have a dream career, he said and told them to improve on their previous performance as building a dream career depended on excelling at each and every stage.

During the interactive session, a student Satyaprabha S., asked him about having a fulfilling career in chartered accountancy. Mr. Jha told her to focus and develop her number crunching abilities.

C. Sridhar, Senior Regional Manager, The Hindu (Circulation), Bengaluru, spoke about the objectives of the programme. Sanjay Sebastian, Director, Giraffe Learning spoke about the structure training provided them for students pursuing various courses. Shrikant Deginal, Seniro Assistant Regional Manager, The Hindu (Circulation), Bengaluru, was present.
