Jacksonville Jaguars' Black Friday shopping list includes snow plow

A flux capacitor: That way the Jaguars could travel back in time to 2010 and return with a 29-year-old Chris Clemons, who was just getting ready to produce 33.5 sacks in the next three seasons. The Jaguars’ biggest defensive issue is a lack of a pass rush -- CB Aaron Colvin leads the team with four sacks -- and an in-his-prime Clemons finally would allow them to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks with just four rushers instead of having to rely on the blitz. Coach Gus Bradley was Seattle’s defensive coordinator when Clemons went on that run so he knows first-hand how disruptive he could be.

A snowplow: One of the ones with a V-shaped plow. Generally not needed in Florida, but it certainly would help the Jaguars clear some space on the field because they’re averaging only 95.4 yards per game rushing. That’s not the kind of production the team expected when it signed mammoth RT Jermey Parnell and durable C Stefen Wisniewski in free agency and drafted RB T.J. Yeldon. Granted, RG Brandon Linder is hurt and he’s the Jaguars' best lineman, but rookie A.J. Cann’s best attribute is his strength and run-blocking ability. The run game has been especially disappointing in the fourth quarter (16.9 yards per game).

Four more victories: Not to make the playoffs (though that might be enough to win the AFC South) but for LB Paul Posluszny. That would give the Jaguars eight victories, the most in Posluszny’s nine seasons. In fact, he never has played on a team that has won more than seven games, and only once in the past five seasons has he played on a team that has won more than four games. He doesn’t have many more years remaining in his career, and it’d be nice for him to finish one season without a losing record.
