Girvan Rd roundabout morons

Posted on 27-11-2015 21:05 | By How about this view!

Many, many times I have been witness to morons that either try to beat an approaching vehicle or else they bury their foot into the floor as the passing vehicle is passing, using all the acceleration available. This is a recipe for disaster if there is a slow moving vehicle entering the roundabout whilst the exiting vehicle is still in the roundabout. Sure, there is a law about giving way to vehicles on your right, BUT, you are also required to give way to all vehicles already in the roundabout. A slow moving truck or bus doesn't make a good hood ornament morons.

Standards

The standard of driving in Tauranga is terrible ALL the time.

Well said How about this view. It takes 3 full gears for a fully loaded logging truck to pull out onto the roundabout. Then you have to get your trailer thru...

Wrong indication

The most dangerous behaviour at that roundabout is people approaching from the mount side indicating right but going straight through. If you're in the left lane of Girven going straight through you go thinking the approaching vehicle is turning towards Matapihi only to be rewarded with an oncoming vehicle.

Time the law came down on dumb drivers who are indicating right then exit left, why can't people learn to indicate properly ???? So frustrating !!!!
