November 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:47 am IST - KARIMNAGAR:

Victims of tainted cop ASI Mohan Reddy, who have formed into an association, took out a candlelight rally in Karimnagar on Thursday evening demanding the government to transfer the illegal money lending case of the tainted cop to the CBI.

The association president M Mahender Reddy and others have participated in the rally.

Similarly, the Lok Satta Udyama Samstha president N Srinivas, representatives of Dalit front organisation M Sudarshan and farmers organisations have also extended their support by participating in the rally.

‘Disclose names’

The agitationists were demanding the government to transfer the illegal money lending case of tainted cop from the CID to CBI and disclosure the names of police officials involved in the racket.

They also demanded that the government should seize the properties of tainted cop and hand them over to the victims.

Paying tributes to Ken Crest school owner R Prasad Rao, who committed suicide due to harassment by the tainted cop and his henchmen, the protestors urged the government to take measures to stop further suicides by the victims by intensifying the investigation and punish the culprits who were harassing the gullible rural masses by snatching their precious properties.
