2 injured as tipper falls into gorge

MENDHAR, Nov 26:  Two persons were injured one of them seriously when a tipper  rolled down into a gorge at Jarhan Wali Gali  in Gursai area on Rajouri-Poonch road today.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when the vehicle No. JK-12/ 2353, loaded with `Bajri’ (crushed stones) was on way to Surankote from Rajouri side. Due to some mechanical failure, the driver lost control and the vehicles rolled down into the gorge at Kallar Morha.
Both the injured tipper driver and his brother, were rescued  by the locals of the area. The police party also reached there and they shifted the accident victims to Surankote hospital.
They were identified as Mohd Imran and Muktar Hussain, both sons of  Mohd Latief, residents of Fagla in Surankote. Condition of one of them was said to be serious and he was referred to GMC hospital, Jammu this afternoon. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
