NOIDA: With an eye on 2017 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, SDM Dadri Rajesh Kumar Singh has initiated the collation of correct voting lists for Gautam Budh Nagar. In this context Singh held a meeting with RWA federation late Tuesday evening to initiate the process of correction in voter lists.
"It was decided that those who've shifted residence from Noida, their names will be cut from the voter list and those who've shifted to different sectors from their earlier place of domicile, their names will be added in the voter list of that sector," said N P Singh, president Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA).

RWA federation further demanded that each sector's voters will cast their votes in their respective community centers. "We also demanded that neighbouring villages should cast their vote in their respective community centers and not in sector community centers. This way genuine voter of that particular sector will cast his vote rather than overlapping or confusion as seen earlier," said N P Singh.
Following the meeting SDM Singh instructed submitting of form 8K by all those who'd changed their residence so that their address change could be listed in the new voter list.
Earlier SDM Singh had held a voter registration drive for all youths who'd turned 18 till Sept 30, 2015 in Gautam Budh Nagar in collaboration with the FONRWA. The same drive that began from Nov 2, will continue along with the voter correction drive. “Booth level officers (BLOs) will go to every house to register all youngsters who turned 18 till Sept 30, 2015,” said Singh. The drive is expected to continue till after Nov 30.

For this, the RWA federation has requested the new prospective voters to collect the registration forms from the BLO’s office in their respective sectors/areas and keep it ready after filling up necessary details. “The youngster applying for voter registration can either submit the filled-up form with their respective RWAs or have the BLO pick it from their residence,” said N P Singh.
The RWA federation has offered all necessary help in all these measures including new voter card registration and change of address. “We will provide computers and operators to operate them to help the SDM in completing all necessary registration process,” said A N Dhawan secretary general FONRWA.
