Cheryl Strayed on the art of giving good advice

The art of giving good advice might be an old one, but it has experienced a bit of a revival online. Advice can be easily shared these days, sent to that friend you can't confront face-to-face.

One of the people handing down share-able wisdom is Cheryl Strayed.

Cheryl Strayed is the author of the memoir Wild, which topped the New York Times Best Sellers list and was turned into a movie starring Reese Witherspoon.

She also wrote the advice column Dear Sugar on The Rumpus, and now co-hosts Dear Sugar Radio, a podcast which responds to letters full of problems from listeners.

She speaks to RN Drive about how advice columns became a cool thing to write, and what it feels like to see your words tattooed on strangers.
