Bengaluru resident dies near Puttur

Members of a family from Devanahalli, travelling in a car, hit a lorry on a bridge near Puttur, resulting in the death of one person. The condition of one of the three injured persons was serious, the Kadada police said.

According to the police, the deceased Srikanta Murthy was going in the car along with his family members Mohan Babu, Lata and Ravi Kumar to Kukke Subramanya. Ravi was driving the car. On the bridge near Kuntur village, the car swerved to the right and hit an approaching lorry around 5 p.m. Srikanta Murthy died on spot. Motorists moved the injured to private hospitals in Puttur and Mangaluru.
