Encouraged by the success of his two films in a row, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, head of Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa, is all set to come out with his third film ‘Online Gurukul’.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s second film ‘MSG-2’ has turned out to be one of the “biggest blockbusters” of India as it has not only surpassed most mega movies showcased in recent times, but has also registered a record revenue of Rs 430 crore since its release on September 18.

His first film ‘MSG-1’ too was a big hit and its revenue collection was said to be around Rs 168.71 crore.

The demand for ‘MSG-2’ among cine-goers — mostly staunch followers of the dera — becomes clear from the fact that the film producers had to run a record 1,872 ‘non-stop’ shows of the film over 48 hours on Monday and Tuesday in different cinemas of Punjab and Chandigarh.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has donned all the hats —of the director, script writer, lyricist and music director — for his film that was released in four languages across India.

“The film is still attracting a large number of moviegoers. We are surprised to see the response of the people even after the completion of the 10th week in the cinemas,” said the film’s producer CP Arora.

Buoyed by the grand success of his film, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is now getting ready to come out with his third film ‘Online Gurukul’, the dera sources said. “The auditions of artistes have started at the dera in Sirsa,” said an aide.

The proposed film, it is learnt, deals with the origin of the world and the human being. The film is expected to be released in March or April next year.
