Chris Young Celebrates Thanksgiving With Simultaneous Number One Hits

This article is more than 8 years old.

Country star Chris Young has a lot to be thankful for this year.  In addition to his latest album, I’m Comin’ Over, debuting at the summit of the Billboard Country Albums chart, the album’s Gold-certified title track is spending its second week atop of the Country Airplay chart. It’s the seventh #1 single of Young’s career, and the first time he’s had simultaneous #1s on the Albums and Airplay charts.

I’m Comin’ Over moved more than 57,000 copies in its first week to top the sales chart. It lands at #5 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart with just shy of 65,000 units in total album activity (a multi-metric sales and streaming calculation.)

Young co-wrote nine of the album’s 11 tracks and co-produced the collection with Corey Crowder. It’s been hailed by both critics and fans as the strongest album of Young’s career, with single-worthy songs from front to back. The album features two guest stars: Vince Gill, who appears on “Sober Saturday Night,” and Cassadee Pope, who will be joining Young’s 2016 world tour to perform their duet “Think Of You.”

The I’m Comin’ Over Tour will kick off in Philadelphia on January 22, where fans can expect to see all seven of the GRAMMY-nominated star’s Gold- and Platinum-certified singles. A limited number of VIP packages (which include a meet and greet, special acoustic performance, and other perks) are available at most shows while supplies last.
