AgStart, an arm of the defunct Sacramento Regional Technology Alliance, announced that it will continue on from new offices in Woodland.

SARTA announced in September that it was folding amid profound changes in the economic-development landscape. In 2013, SARTA launched AgStart, aimed at accelerating growth of companies that develop innovative sustainable agricultural technologies.

AgStart has scheduled grand-opening festivities from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 6 at its new downtown Woodland home: 710 Dead Cat Alley. Besides general offices, AgStart said the site will function as an incubator working space.
