Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) - Machine shop workers who use a computer numerical control (CNC) lathe often have difficulty controlling the tools used for cutting metal and other materials. Fortunately, an inventor from Palmdale, Calif., has found a way to make those tools easier to handle.

He developed a prototype for ER-16 COLLETS CNC LATHE TOOL HOLDER to allow drills, center drills and related tools to be mounted in the tool holder of a lathe. As such, it permits machine shop workers to bore, drill and otherwise process work pieces easier and faster. Furthermore, it is compatible with a variety of tools that fit a standard ER-16 collet. Besides that, it saves time and effort and is easy to set up and operate. It is also convenient, versatile and effective. In addition, it promotes quality workmanship in machine shops.

The inventor’s work experience inspired the idea. “Although I worked in machine shops for 35 years, I never saw anything like this. So I decided to pursue this idea to improve the output from a CNC lathe machine,” he said. The idea is patent pending.
