The Social Democrats has said the Commission of Investigation into IBRC transactions should investigate the sale of Siteserv first and there should be a stand-alone interim report into the deal.

The party today published the letter it has sent to the Taoiseach outlining its recommendations on how the commission should proceed.

The party believes the commission should look at the six highest transactions, which would include Siteserv, and following that then investigate the remaining six highest transactions.

Catherine Murphy said the transactions that were of concern to the Department of Finance should be prioritised.

The party is also is in favour of another judge being appointed to the commission and the publication of the Attorney General's advice to the Government before the commission was established.

Ms Murphy said it appears the legal advice underpinning the commission's work is at variance with the legal advice asserted by the Department of Finance.
