BHOJPUR: A child died after being hit by a tractor in Kodar of the Bhojpur district headquarters on Wednesday afternoon.

Kishor Dhungana (11), son of Tej Raj Dhungana from Salkapur-7 of Morang district died after being hit by the vehicle (Ko 2 Ta 3018), according to the District Police Office.

The boy had come to the district to meet his maternal uncle, according to police.

The tractor driver fled the scene after the accident at around 3:30 pm, Police Inspector Aamod Kherbar said.

Police have launched a manhunt to nab him.

The victim's body has been kept at the District Hospital.
