Actor Soham speaks to CT about his experience working in his upcoming film, Black. Excerpts:Black is your fourth film with Raja Chanda. How has the bonding between you two grown over the years? It has gone from strength to strength over the years. I first worked with him in
Le Halua Le, and then came
Jaaneman,
Loveria, and now this film. So, over the years, our relationship has also evolved.
Now, he is more of an elder brother than a director. What I like about Rajada is his temperament and flexible attitude on the sets. During the shoot of this film, there were times when I felt that a certain dialogue or a scene could be improvised, and he was more than open to incorporate it. Black is Rajada's brainchild and the way he has shaped up the story is praiseworthy. It is an out-and-out commercial film with an original story and Rajada too has treated the film in a new way . I think everyone will love it.
Tell us about the film and your character. It's an action love story that shows how my character, Biltu, transforms into Bullet and fights criminals to avenge his father's death. The film has the right mix of elements and the music too is quite melodious. Barkha Sengupta has done a catchy item number.
How was it sharing the frame with Mim, who plays your ladylove for the first time in this film? Mim is a fantastic co-actress and has done a fabulous job. She is not just a pretty face, but plays a character as important as Bullet's, as she is also out for revenge. Moreover, working with talented actors like
Kharaj Mukherjee,
Rudranil Ghosh and
Ashish Vidyarthi was indeed a pleasure.
