Two constables die in road accident

Two constables of the Special Security Battalion (SSBN), who were posted in Kansar police outpost in Deogarh district, died after their motorcycle collided head on with a truck near Durgamandir chhak of Barghat under Deogarh police limits on Tuesday.

SAMBALPUR: Two constables of the Special Security Battalion (SSBN), who were posted in Kansar police outpost in Deogarh district, died after their motorcycle collided head on with a truck near Durgamandir chhak of Barghat under Deogarh police limits on Tuesday.
The deceased constables have been identified as Umakanta Rajhans of Sunaposhi in Deogarh district and Prafulla Behera of Katapali in Bargarh district.

Sources said the accident took place while the duo was returning from Tileibani weekly market.
The motorcycle collided head on with a truck near the Durgamandir Chhak of Barghat. The duo died on the spot.
"The driver of the truck fled from the spot. The vehicle has been seized. The body of the deceased have been sent for autopsy," said IIC of Deogarh police station Sudarshan Jena.
