CHANDIGARH: Haryana's main opposition party Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) continued to protest against power tariff hike in the state outside the electricity department's head office in Panchkula on Tuesday.
INLD organizing secretary Rampal Majra, along with other party leaders, led the protest outside Shakti Bhawan on the second day. Party's youth wing leaders, Gurvinder Tejli and Pradeep Gill were also present at the protest site and addressed the gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, Rampal said that chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar had not even considered their demand to roll-back the power hike in Haryana and remained evasive of their party's demand during Monday's meeting. INLD had launched the protest on Monday after leader of opposition Abhay Singh Chautala met the CM and submitted a memorandum demanding roll-back of the hike. tnn
